Another major highlight of the fellowship was the exclusive, first-time preview of the district’s new Lupang Hinirang audio-visual presentation (AVP). Cinematically captured on March 22, 2026, against the majestic, heritage backdrop of Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, the AVP left everyone in absolute awe as it played across the grand LED screen. The breathtaking production completely captivated the room, earning universal praise and setting a deeply patriotic and inspired tone for the incoming team. Following the presentation, DG Bing delivered an address steeped in gratitude for the overwhelming enthusiasm vibrating through the hall. Her message underscored a leadership philosophy anchored on collaboration, inclusivity, and intentional service.

“The strength of our district lies not only in our numbers, but in our shared passion to serve and uplift communities,” DG Bing emphasized, challenging the attendees to approach the new Rotary year with renewed fervor and optimism.

Adding intellectual depth and inspiration to the evening was former Senator and Manila Hotel President Atty. Jose “Joey” D. Lina, Jr., who is slated to serve as the District Governor of Rotary International District 3830 for Rotary Year 2028–2029, making him a District Governor-Nominee (DGN) for the current term. Aside from his corporate and Rotary leadership roles, DGN Joey spoke passionately in his capacity as the National Project Chairman of the Children’s First One Thousand Days Coalition (CFDC). He highlighted his critical advocacy centered on the welfare of children during their first one thousand days—spanning from the moment of conception until a child’s second birthday—emphasizing the vital interventions needed in nutrition and healthcare during these highly formative years.

In a delightful turn of events, DGN Joey shifted from passionate orator to charismatic performer, serenading the audience with musical numbers that showcased his warmth and trademark humor. The performance was a particular treat for his classmate, fellow District Governor-Nominee (DGN) Herminio “Hermie” Esguerra, and his goddaughter (inaanak), Past District Governor (PDG) Joyce Michelle Ambray, who both cheered him on from the audience.

The evening was further punctuated by several milestones that reinforced the readiness of the leadership team. Demonstrating her trademark thoughtfulness, DG Bing gifted attendees with copies of her beautifully crafted coffee table book, titled The Legacy of Sin: A Man of Peace: A Tribute to His Eminence Jaime L. Cardinal Sin, which serves as an inspiring testament to moral leadership and courage.

Highlighting a significant corporate partnership for the upcoming year, all Impact-Creating Presidents, members of the Executive Committee, and district officers received Prestige Cards courtesy of The Manila Hotel. While not the official home venue for all district activities, the historic hotel will serve as the significant and official anchor venue for District 3810’s monthly meetings throughout RY 2026–2027. Providing a tactical roadmap for the immediate future, Chief of Staff (COS) Jardine Bautista closed out the formal program by presenting details of the district’s “Pagsibol” kick-off project. The briefing gave leaders a clear look at the strategic, high-impact programs designed to address urgent community needs while elevating Rotary’s public image across the jurisdiction. The Merienda Cena fellowship successfully nurtured the bonds of friendship and visionary leadership, leaving the leaders of District 3810 fully prepared to translate the ideal of Service Above Self into lasting reality.
